Summer

Well, it's hard to believe summer is almost over. We've had a busy summer even though Andrew and I only had 1 week off of work. We've spent every weekend we could up at the cottage/trailer in Bayfield. During our week of vacation we were able to visit with family while we were at Pine Lake. The boys enjoyed swimming, mini golfing and bike rides.
Ephram is swimming with water wings now and really, really enjoys the freedom of not having mommy or daddy holding him.
Liam is still obsessed with tractors and lawn mowers, we thought this was something he would out grow but it's been three summers of grass cutting and he still loves it! We are hoping he will love it this much when he's old enough to really cut the grass.

Despite the rainy summer we have been able to have a few meals on our deck and we've had some warm days for the boys to go swimming, which they LOVE!

We planted our first vegetable garden this year, I wasn't to interested in the idea thinking it would be one more thing for me to do, but it's been very rewarding. It hasn't been the best summer for growing but we've enjoyed lettuce, celery, a few beans (the rabbits ate them), peppers and we have some tomatoes and a few herbs coming along. We look forward to checking out the garden every day.

This past weekend I had a yard sale with two of my friends, we had one two years ago together, it's more fun with friends. We made a fair amount of money considering we had no high priced items.

We are hoping to get up to mom and dad's for the Beanfest this weekend and then back to the cottage/trailer for the long weekend.

Andrew has been super busy with work, lots of overtime, it's hard when he works so much but we thank God every day that he not only has a job but he is very busy.

We can't believe Liam will be starting school in a month, we'll be starting to get him into that mode of thinking before too long.

About Me

My photo
Andrew works as a tool and die maker in the auto industry, despite some shaky months with work on and off, things are picking up now for him. I am a stay at home mom and have recently started a daycare in my home. I currently have two girls in my care. The boys seem to love having a craft every day and circle time where we sing songs and read books that go along with our weekly theme. Liam is 3 1/2 and will be starting JK next year and Ephram is 1 1/2. They are busy boys and definitely keep us on our toes!
